Winter League started this weekend 4th December, so that mean's that every Sunday for the next 12 weeks will be fully booked, so this means no day tickets on the top lake on Sunday until the second week in March

Rob (Potty) Pottenger with a 2lb 4oz perch from peg 39 the first perch pic of the winter and this was one of many caster caught fish to give him a match winning 77lb not a bad day for mild mid November, and his pal and postal team mate John Brennan with a big perch and hybrid during the Trouser's memorial match, well done to all that turned up to remember our old pal Ron Burrows...

Pictured above Alfie Whillier shows off this fine specimen that topped the scales at 46lb, but the scales he used on the day were only reading 22lb and once he had got home and he transfered the 22lb to a good set of scales that revealed the fish to be 46lb and all this happened on his Birthday, I think you would agree a great catch and to prove it was no fluke here is a common carp he also managed the following week 

The Fishery is open 7.00am until 4.30pm

The lake is open six days a week and closed every Monday including bank holiday Mondays 

Winter Day ticket prices are £10.00 a day two rods, £8.00 a day one rod, concession and half day (2pm is the cut off point between morning and afternoon ) £7.00 for two rods and £5.00 for one rod.

Lake John Fishery is one the most reputable fisheries in Essex, and has been quoted by the Angling Times as the premier silver fish venue in the south of England established in 1992 Lake John comprises of two lakes both mixed fishery’s. 

Top lake is two and a half acres of water and has a varied fish stocks with a good stock of carp, the biggest carp topping the scales at 41lb 4oz’s with plenty of bream and tench to keep the roach and the rudd company and even perch have topped the scales at over 4lb. 

Bottom lake is a smaller more secluded lake only 14m wide and set up more of a match style water but again a mixed fishery with plenty of good sport to be had, this is a truly great place to catch to your hearts content, all set in the peace and quiet of the Epping Forest on the very edge of Hertfordshire, Essex and London boarders. 

We are located just outside the M25 why not give it ago, the fishery is open Tuesday to Sunday every week but closed every Monday including Bank Holidays opening and closing time are varied depending on the time of the year check the contents of our newly revamped website for more details, enjoy the website and then why not come and enjoy the fishing at Lake John Fishery for real, remember all E.A. rules apply at the lake and you need a valid rod licence before fishing the lakes.
