1st. Trevor Stanley, Lake John                                        peg 8        32-06-0
Another damp dark and wet Wednesday knocked the catch rate down again but the consistency that follows Trevor on this lake at the moment produced his well awaited victory, always there in the frame but just missing the top spot, meat and more meat a longer wait but the fish are bigger and in this three hour sprint it only takes one fish to promote you up the leader board that's how close the matches are.

2nd. Martin Amos, Elite Baits-old Hatfield Angling        peg 5       31-00-0
First during the day match and a second this evening, the carp were slow but with pellet to the hook everything will eat it and that keeps fish going in the net which is what you want in such a short match.

3rd. Graham Cook, Lake John                                          peg 6       30-10-0
It don't get much closer than this and it was like this throughout the match, Meat for Mr. Cook down the inner margins.

4th. Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                       peg 12      27-12-0

5th. Tony Curtis, Simpson of Turnford                            peg 10      22-08-0

6th. Andy Walker, Lake John                                            peg 16      20-08-0

1st. Martin Amos, Elite Baits-Old Hatfield Angling           peg 19        47-08-0
A slow start for the Amos but believe it or not this weight was achieved in the last 40 minutes of the match meat to the hook and loose feeding pellet, small carp and a few of them, beating his 6 hour match weight on the top lake from earlier.

2nd. Danny Fung, Fox Match                                              Peg 23        30-06-0
Still in the top three Danny is beginning to enjoy this lake and the meat and pellet attack is still catching plenty of fish.

3rd. Peter Slade, Met Police                                               Peg 10        29-14-0
Slade of the Yard, back from his holidays settles in quite nicely catching on pellet down the centre skimmers, tench and carp.

4th. Alec Roberts, Middy                                                    peg 12        25-08-0

5th. John Young, Lake John                                              peg 1          22-10-0

6th. Stuart Barrett, Team Pirtek                                         peg 6          17-08-0

Second last week and a first this week means that Glen Butler is the man to beat on the fishery at the moment...

14 fished

1st. Glen Butler, Fox Match                                         peg 12         44-00-0
Meat and more meat for the Fox Match man Butler, down the edge and across to the far bank and just wait is what I am told they will come, keep it simple and think positive, he keeps framing so there must be something to it, mind you he can't draw much peg 12 is on fire at the moment and so is the Glenster.

2nd. Scott Clark, Simpsons-Lake John                        peg 19         40-00-0
This is another meat head with a knack of drawing a good peg but there is no point having the fish in the peg if you cant get em out and both these boys are catching a few fish at the moment, meat across and down the edge.

3rd. Danny Fung, Fox match                                          peg 22         33-08-0
Was Danny using meat across and down the inside margin just like Scott and Glen? of course he was, small carp.

4th. Martin Amos, Elite Baits-Old Hatfield Angling       peg 1        22-12-0

5th. Gordon Bullock, Terrapins                                       peg 8        21-00-0

6th. Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                     peg 3        19-04-0

Yes it rained again but Danny Fung just kept busy and netted a 30lb bag of fish in this three hour sprint...

14 fished

1st. Danny Fung, Fox match                                        peg 19        32-04-0
The weights aren't huge but the match is always close, Hertford's China man is liking this lake at present and is always in the frame, Danny fished 12" from the bank at the end of his keep net and caught on meat and pellet, loads of bites loads of fish.

2nd. Glen Butler, Fox Match                                         peg 6         27-12-0
Not as many fish but bigger fish are coming to the meat and that is all Glen is using on this lake, carp to 5lb were amongst his haul.

3rd. Trevor Stanley, Fisherman's Cabin                      peg 21      27-04-0
always in the frame and this week he managed it without the aid of his lucky charm little Len who was absent from both matches this week due to work commitments

4th. Martin Amos, Elite Baits-Old Hatfield Angling    peg 16      24-00-0

5th. Robin Driscoll, Team Driscoll                               peg 24      23-08-0

6th. Scott Clarke, Simpsons-Lake John                      peg 3        23-00-0

More rain on the Wednesday evening match, weight's were lower than normal but a close match...

14 fished

1st. Trevor Stanley, Fisherman's Cabin                            peg 6       27-12-0
Good old Trevor sat next to his lucky mascot Lenny for the 5th week in a row and every time has managed to beat Mr. Goulding off the next peg, small carp across to the far bank and down the inner margin a very slow match for most on this wet angling occasion, meat and pellet long pole.

2nd. Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                        peg 5       25-00-0
Only a couple of fish in the early part of the match for Len, all his better fish showed in the last 30 minutes, meat across to the far bank.

3rd. Danny Fung, Fox Match                                               peg 21     24-00-0
down the centre track Danny hooked jumping bream, crusian carp and small carp

4th. Colin Bartlett, Lake John-J+B Tackle                         peg 19     23-04-0

5th. Graham Cook, Lake John                                            peg 1       20-08-0

Guess who's back? Lenny's back...

16 fished

1st. Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                          peg 1             26-08-0
At last back at the top of the pile catching a few of his old friends as he puts it, this fished hard may be it was the storm that passed over but something was wrong, most of these fish came in the last hour as the fish were on a no feed policy, meat on the long pole down the margins.

2nd. Gary Miller, Van Den Eynde-Essex                             peg 7             19-00-0
This small bag of fish was also the result of an hour's fishing, plenty of fish in the lake moving just not very many feeding,

3rd. Scott Clark, Lake John-Simpsons                                peg 23          17-08-0
Jnt 3rd. Martin Amos, Elite Baits-Old Hatfield Angling      peg 6            17-08-0
Scotty boy is still in the frame

5th. Graham Cook, Lake John                                               peg 5              16-12-0

6th. Dennis Jarvis, Pro Master-Garbolino                            peg 10          16-08-0

Scott Clarke proves it was no beginners luck and nets a second victory...

1st. Scott Clark, Simpsons-Lake John                      peg 21       36-12-0
Last Wednesday we acknowledged the big mans first win and this week he pips the nearest rival by 2lb and makes it two out of two, biteless for the first hour and it looked like it was all going wrong but Scott stayed with it and eventually they started to feed, meat on the long pole across to the far bank for a collection of small carp and plenty of bites, no two days are the same at the moment and as the evening pulled in the the chill started to set in but that didn't stop Scotty Boy bagging very strong in the closing stages of the match.

2nd. Glen Butler, Fox Match                                        peg 8        34-04-0
Work commitments have kept Glen off the big lake during the day but he has started to get into the evening scene and he seems to be getting into a few on the long pole to the far bank hooking meat and feeding pellet, and with a better stamp of fish than those around him he very nearly had Scott in his sights but fadeing daylight and the clock running down that last bonus fish eluded Glen for the first spot

3rd. Trevor Stanley, Fishermans Cabin                     peg 23       26-12-0
Catching down in the inner margins for Trev and plenty of fish but just not the size to bulk his net how he would like, this is Trevor's third match with us and his third placeing as well consistant or wot, and he tuned Len on the next peg again........

4th. Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                  peg 24       23-08-0

5th. Attila Szekeres, Preston-J+B Tackle                   peg 5         20-12-0

Big Scott makes this his first match win of the year, this rookie is starting to open a few people's eyes.

14 fished

1st. Scott Clark, Simpsons-Lake John                                  peg 19       27-08-0
Only been fishing on the open circuit since late last year Scott has managed the odd section win already but it was the win he was after and only back from his Holiday early hours of the morning his was in the mood for a few fish, so having booked his peg from the beach the day before big Scott had two matches to look forward to in match one 24lb 8oz in the pouring down rain was not too bad but in half the time and with meat on the hook there were a few carp that couldn't resist, this was his first win and he was in the company of some fine angling ability, well done Scotty.

2nd. Trevor Stanley, Fisherman's Cabin                                peg 8        21-08-0
Second last week as well Trevor is consistent at the moment, we are all waiting for the carp to go mad and the weights increase but last week the fish spawned and this week there has been enough rain that if Noah was about this would have been a good week to build that Arc, small carp and not that many of them.

3rd. Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                             peg 10       20-12-0
Len is sad because all his old friends as he calls em (carp) haven't played ball yet, aaah didem's!!!

4th. Brian Harmer, Anchor                                                         peg 24      18-00-0

Martin is the champ of the three hour sprint, on a horrible wet evening...

14 fished

1st. Martin Amos, Elite Baits-Old Hatfield Angling               peg 8          27-00-0
A low scoring evening again this week but conditions are far from ideal at the moment as the bigger fish are not really scoffing as they should be but martin soon winkled a few fish out off the far bank spraying hard pellet and hooking a soft expander.

2nd. Glen Butler, Fox Match                                                   peg 23        25-00-0
Back in the frame again and beating the birthday boy on the next peg.

3rd. Gary Miller, Van Den Eynde-Essex                                peg 24        21-00-0
Two third's in two matches for the birthday boy who's not really 40 it was just my little joke!

Jnt 4th. Colin Bartlett, Lake John-J+B Tackle                      peg 10        18-00-0
Len Goulding, Simpsons of Turnford                      peg 2          18-00-0
              Grant Fear, Milo-Acton Angling                                peg 16        18-00-0
